"12 Gates of the City"
A Corporate Prayer Guide for 12 Areas of Spiritual Battle in the City…
GATE 1
WORSHIP
John 4:23; Psalm 95:6; Isaiah 60:18
Give thanks and praise to God, our father and Creator. He spoke and created the heavens and earth. Pray for the worship leaders in our nation, city, and church, for protection and direction. Pray for people in our city and church to worship God daily in Spirit and in Truth.
GATE 2
SPIRITUAL AWAKENING
Ephesians 1:3-23; Proverbs 29:2; John 12:32; John 6:44
Pray for Jesus Christ to be exalted and for Father God to draw people to Him. Pray that as He woos new believers and revives believers, people will respond from their innermost being in yieldedness and obedience.
GATE 3
HEALING & RESTORATION
Psalm 147:3; Luke 9:11; Isaiah 53:5;
Matthew 8:16-17; 2Chronicles 7:14
We must pray that Mt. Vernon (or your city) come to know the very character and ways of God. Jehovah Rapha, our healer. Pray healing of relationships, healing of emotional and physical problems, healing of our nation, healing of our local government and leadership.
GATE 4
SALVATION
Luke 4:18; Isaiah 60:18; 2Corinthians 4:6;
Galatians 1:16; Matthew 16:17
Intercede for the lost in Mt. Vernon (or your city) and surrounding areas. Pray that the person of Jesus Christ will be revealed to the lost. As Spiritual Holy Ghost hunger increases in people in our city, pray that Jesus Christ will be revealed through the Church to those who are hurting. Pray that God will indeed bless our Church with His presence in such a way that sin will be revealed and repented of. Pray for the Harvest of Souls to increase not only in our Church services, but also in our outreach services.
GATE 5
WISDOM
Colossians 2:2-3; James 1:5; Proverbs 24:3
Intercede for God’s people in Mt. Vernon (or your city) to dwell in God’s Word and seek His wisdom. Pray for clarity in understanding as we meditate upon His Word. Pray that we as a Church fall in love with the Holy Word of God and apply the Word in our everyday lives, so that a lost and dying world will take notice and see God’s people Arising & Shining in His Glory.
GATE 6
HOLINESS & FEAR OF GOD
1Corinthians 3:16; 1Corinthians 6:19-20
Isaiah 6:3-4; Isaiah 41:14; Psalms 19:14
Pray that we will recognize and respect God’s holiness and come to hate evil as He does.
GATE 7
MAGNIFY JESUS
Philippians 2:9-10; Revelation 4:11; John 12:32; Ephesians 3:10-12
Pray that in all aspects the name of Jesus be lifted up in the individual and corporate lives of Christians in our city that in so doing people will be saved, receive life everlasting, and be set free. O Let us magnify the Lord, for He is worthy to be praised!
GATE 8
JUSTICE
1Timothy 2:1-2; Psalms 89:14; Isaiah 28:17
Ask God to establish His standards within the hearts of all those having influential positions within our city.
GATE 9
UNITY
John 17:22-23; Psalms 133; John 13:35
Pray for the body of Christ to hear His call to repent of all racial prejudice, denominational pride, spiritual arrogance, spiritual jealousy, and lack of love for one another; all of which strip His body of the glory and power it should be manifesting to the world.
GATE 10
BLESSING & REST
Ezekiel 34:25-27; Psalms 24:3-5; 1Peter 3:8-9;
Malachi 3:10; Hebrews 4:1-7; Genesis 12:3
Pray that Mt. Vernon (or your city) will be a place where people can dwell in the blessings of God. Pray that the foundations of our city will be with His “rest”. Pray that believers will embrace God’s promises and walk in them daily. Pray that God will start with us as a body of believers to become a city of refuge, a place of provision.
GATE 11
GLORY
1Chronicles 16:23-28; Isaiah 6:3; Hebrews 2:7;
1Corintians 10:31; Luke 2:14
Declare God’s Glory over Mt. Vernon (or your city). Pray that His Glory exposes every corner of darkness and gives light to all in our city! Isaiah 60:1-2!
GATE 12
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Philippians 2:3-8; Ephesians 6:6-17; Psalms 33:8-9;
2Corinthians 10:4-6; Hebrews 11:33-34
Stand against forces of spiritual darkness, which attempt to enslave souls and hide the truth of the Gospel. Putting of the whole armor of God, consecrate yourself to the name of Jesus, the truth of God’s Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Strive to cultivate your relationship with God Almighty. Sit at His feet and get to KNOW Him, in Spirit and in Truth.

"Prayers for Pastors"
John 21:15-17 - Father, give the Pastors the ability to shepherd and tend Your lambs. Also give them the ability to guide and .jpg)
lead Your sheep to nourishment. It is Your will that they shepherd and tend Your sheep.
Acts 4:29-30 - Lord, grant to Your servants that with all assurance and confidence they may speak Your Word, by stretching out Your power to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.
Acts 6:4 - Father, help the Pastors to understand that Your main desire for them is to give themselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.
1Corinthians 2:4-5 - Father, cause their speech and preaching not to be with enticing words of human wisdom, but be accompanied with a manifestation of the Spirit and of miraculous power so that those that hear them, their faith might not rest in the wisdom of man, but in the miraculous power of God.
Ephesians 1:17-19 - Father, I ask that the Pastors will be yielded to the Holy Spirit, Who brings understanding and insight, so they can know more of You. May understanding come to them so that they will know their inheritance as being a Christian. Help them to understand and know the power in and for them because they are believers.
Ephesians 3:16-19 - I pray that the Pastors will allow there feelings, thoughts, and purposes to be placed more and more under the Holy Spirit's influence and direction so that the Spirit can manifest His power through them in greater measure. May they, being rooted and established in making love their main objective, be able to understand Your love for them and for others and to understand by making love their main objective, they are filled with You, because You are love.
Ephesians 4:12 - I ask that You would help the Pastors to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till they all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature people, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ; that they should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in wait to deceive, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, Who is the head, even Christ.
Ephesians 6:19-20 - Father, I ask that utterance be given to the Pastors, that they may open their mouths boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. I pray that they may declare it fearlessly, as they should.
Colossians 1:28 - Lord, help the Pastors to caution everyone and teach everyone with all wisdom, that they may present everyone mature, complete in Christ Jesus.
1Thessalonians 1:5 - Lord, help the Pastors present the gospel not in Word only, but also in miraculous power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance.
